Who we are
Owned and run by Luis Rodriguez
Powerline Electric is owned by Luis Rodriguez, a licensed California electrical contractor with 20+ years of field experience across residential, commercial, and industrial work.
We built the company around the work other electricians skip — small service calls, troubleshooting, contractor punch-list scopes, and tenant improvements — alongside larger panel, lighting, and industrial jobs. Phones get answered. Estimates come back. Jobsites stay clean.
We support homeowners, general contractors, property managers, commercial properties, and industrial facilities across Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties.

Common questions
Do you handle small electrical jobs?+
Yes. Small service calls, troubleshooting, single-circuit work, and contractor punch-list items are welcome.
Do you work with general contractors?+
Yes. We support GCs with rough-in, panel work, lighting, corrections, and tenant-improvement electrical with responsive scheduling and budget-conscious pricing.
Do you provide electrical troubleshooting?+
Yes. Diagnostics for dead circuits, breaker trips, intermittent faults, and code corrections — residential, commercial, and industrial.
Do you install EV chargers?+
Yes. Level 2 EV chargers for homes, multi-family, and commercial sites — including panel upgrades when needed.
Do you do panel upgrades?+
Yes. 100A, 200A, and 400A panel upgrades, meter combos, subpanels, and utility coordination.
Do you work on commercial and industrial projects?+
Yes. Tenant improvements, service upgrades, switchgear, transformers, equipment hookups, and warehouse / industrial power.
What counties do you serve?+
Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties.
Can I send photos for a faster estimate?+
Yes. Photos of the panel, area of work, and access make estimates much faster and more accurate.
Are estimates final from the calculator?+
No. Calculator pricing is an early planning range only. Final pricing depends on site conditions, code, materials, permits, and utility coordination.
Are you licensed?+
Yes. CA Lic. #1090024, owned by Luis Rodriguez.
Do you pull permits?+
Yes. We pull and coordinate electrical permits and inspections for panel upgrades, service upgrades, EV chargers, tenant improvements, and other scopes that require them. We work with the local AHJ in each county we serve.
How long does a typical project take?+
Most small service calls and EV charger installs are completed in a single day. Panel and service upgrades usually take 1–2 days plus utility coordination. Tenant improvements and commercial scopes are scheduled around the GC's timeline and inspection milestones.
What's the difference between commercial and residential electrical work?+
Commercial electrical typically involves 3-phase power, larger services, distribution panels, and code requirements specific to occupancy type. Residential is usually single-phase with smaller service sizes. We handle both, including the transition work for live-work, multi-family, and mixed-use properties.
Do you offer emergency or same-day service calls?+
When schedules allow, we provide same-week and same-day service calls for diagnostics, breaker trips, dead circuits, and code corrections. Call directly for fastest response — phones get answered.
Can you install a Level 2 EV charger if my panel is full?+
Often yes. Options include a load-management device, a subpanel, or a panel/service upgrade. We evaluate the existing service and panel, recommend the most cost-effective path, and handle the install and permit.
How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?+
Common signs: frequent breaker trips, an outdated panel (Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or split-bus), preparing for an EV charger or heat pump, or service capacity that's maxed out. We can assess load and recommend 100A, 200A, or 400A based on actual demand.
Do you coordinate with general contractors on remodels and TI work?+
Yes. We support GCs with rough-in, finish electrical, panel work, lighting, code corrections, and punch-list items. Pricing is practical for small and mid-sized scopes and we coordinate around inspection milestones.
